Todd Wurschmidt seems to always be a leader in whichever company he
works for. One of Wurschmidt’s favorite quotes is, "Never, never, never
quit/give up," as he must have lived by these words in order to get to
where he is today. Todd Wurschmidt is currently the chief executive
officer at an organization he founded, PARADOX Associations, which
consults with nonprofit organizations in problem solving and raising
funds, among other things. Though Wurschmidt created the organization
only in March 2008, he has become actively involved with the
International Section Council and the Global Summit on Social
Responsibility with the American Society of Association Executives.
Perhaps it was Dr. Wurschmidt’s past experiences in upper-level
management that permits him to become involved nationally and
internationally so quickly. Before he became involved at PARADOX, Todd
Wurschmidt was a CEO, but this time he was overseeing staff operations
at the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police. Todd Wurschmidt served at
that nonprofit organization for more than 20 years. During his time
there, Wurschmidt was able to secure more than $20 million in grants
for Ohio’s homeland security efforts from 2004 to 2008. This endeavor
involved the overseeing in the development of the biggest statewide
homeland security information sharing effort in the country, and earned
them the 2007 Excellence in Technology Award from the International
Association of Chiefs of Police.
While he was working at the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police,
Wurschmidt was also the CEO at fundraising organization, the Law
Enforcement Foundation. Dr. Wurschmidt was heavily involved in the
fundraising process, and the organization was able to secure funds from
the state and federal government, as well as public and private
sectors. Wurschmidt was also charged with overseeing the development of
diversity training and the Child Abduction Response Teams which are a
complimenting program to Amber Alert.
Dr. Todd Wurschmidt also spent nearly two decades collectively as the
CEO of three nonprofits that became integrated in a shared office
space: DAO (D.A.R.E. Association of Ohio), OCPA (Ohio Crime Prevention
Association), and OSROA (Ohio School Resource Officers Association).
