Dr. Todd Wurschmidt, who currently resides in Plain City, Ohio, has been working in this industrial Midwestern state for decades. A great deal of that time has been spent in leadership positions at a variety of nonprofit organizations. Todd Wurschmidt is now the CEO at the nonprofit consulting agency PARADOX Associations. Before establishing PARADOX Associations, Dr. Todd Wurschmidt served as the executive director and chief executive officer of the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, which was headquartered in Columbus. At the same time, Wurschmidt was also the CEO at the Law Enforcement Foundation, another nonprofit agency. Todd Wurschmidt has also held top positions at the Ohio Crime Prevention Association, Ohio School Resource Officers Association and the D.A.R.E. Association of Ohio. Instead of heading out of state to continue his higher education, Wurschmidt stayed put in Ohio to work toward all three of his degrees. Todd Wurschmidt studied at The Ohio State University, which is located in the city of Columbus, and earned his bachelor's degree in zoology in 1975. Wurschmidt then studied a different type of science -- social science - and in 1981, he received his master's degree in sociology. Todd Wurschmidt continued studying sociology and earned his doctor of philosophy degree in the early 1990s. After getting a higher education at The Ohio State University, Dr. Todd Wurschmidt held a position as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at OSU. Dr. Wurschmidt created and taught a course about leadership roles in nonprofit organizations (NPOs) and associations. Wurschmidt instructed the OSU students about the history of NPOs, raising funds, and the cultural, social and political factors involved in running a nonprofit organization.
